A flight by American Airlines was forced to alter its route due to an unruly passenger. The individual was removed from the plane and accused of disrespectfully addressing a flight attendant as a “waiter.”
Originally bound for Georgetown, Guyana, this plane had to turn around and return to JFK International Airport in New York City. This unexpected event occurred only two hours into the trip due to the passenger’s disruptive behavior.
The passenger, identified as Joel Ghansham, was seated in business class. He requested assistance from a flight attendant to stow away his bags in the overhead bin, citing a recent surgery. However, the flight attendant declined his request, stating it was not part of their job description. They even suggested Ghansham consider a different airline if he wasn’t satisfied with the service.
