Saudi Arabia Launched New Umrah Scheme For Foreigners: Saudi Arabia has unveiled a fresh program for foreign nationals eligible for Umrah. As announced by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on social media, Saudi citizens can now invite overseas friends to the Kingdom on a ‘personal visit visa’ to perform Umrah.
In their social media declaration, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah highlighted that foreign visitors entering on a personal visit visa would be granted the convenience of a single or multiple entry visa. This marks a significant development in enhancing the flexibility of travel arrangements for foreigners planning to undertake the spiritual journey of Umrah.
Furthermore, the Saudi Ministry has relayed that international visitors travelling on this visa will be privileged to visit the Prophet’s Mosque. The expanded scope of this visa also covers visits to various historical sites and cultural hubs spread across different cities.
Taking this initiative further, the Saudi Ministry has confirmed that foreigners entering on the Principal Visit Visa will have unrestricted access to all cities and regions within Saudi Arabia. This significant move showcases the Kingdom’s commitment to boosting cultural exchange and promoting tourism, in addition to religious journeys.
